TED talk

While watching TED talk one of things that struck me was when he said, “We have to recognize that human flourishing is not a mechanical process; it's an organic process. And you cannot predict the outcome of human development. All you can do, like a farmer, is create the conditions under which they will begin to flourish”.  This sentence just seemed so interesting to me.  I love the metaphor he used and it describes perfectly what an educational system should be like.  By creating an educational system, one that can allow students to have the best education possible will allow them to flourish.  Teachers, or parents, and sometimes even the student doesn’t know the outcome of their education or what they want to be.  But by creating an amazing educational system and allowing them to obtain the best education possible opens up so many doors and new possibilities to them.  It means they are getting the best of the best and by doing that they may just become something amazing.  They will flourish with all the things they were taught and it will further their education and skills even more.
